& Whitehall Primary School
Horfield C of E Primary - Wednesdays, 3.15pm-5.15pm
Whitehall Primary - Tuesdays, 3:15-5:15pm
We are very proud of the service we offer. All of our staff are passionate about what we do and work hard to ensure your child/ren are cared for. We believe we offer children a unique opportunity to run around and be free in a woodland environment that is sadly lacking for many children growing up today. We encourage children to take well managed risks, allowing them to use tools, build fires, create dens and to follow their play into whatever adventure they find themselves in.
Every week, we'll have a different seasonal theme with linked activities. For example, in the Autumn term we had a special coloured fire for bonfire night and made firework sticks. During world soil week, we made mud bricks and went on a worm hunt. We have a fire at every session where we cook a snack with popular items on the menu such as popcorn, crumble, campfire pizza and we always have Smores as our end of term treat. Sometimes we play wide games such as sardines or hide and seek. We set up the space to encourage as much child-led play as possible so expect hammocks, small library, mud kitchen, digging, tree climbing, etc.
Must be booked for the term, each session costs £11.99. Session includes a snack cooked on the fire. To find out more and book, email hideawayfs@gmail.com
